Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kimberly Felts
This is my 18th year in elementary education. I have had the privilege of teaching in Alabama, Texas, and in Senegal, West Africa.
My teaching career began in Conecuh County. I then taught in Senegal through the International Mission Board, where I worked with English students. Since returning to the states, I have taught in Fort Worth, Texas; Odessa, Texas; Mobile, Alabama; and Trussville, Alabama.
I consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to be both a stay-at-home mom and an elementary school teacher. I have had opportunities to teach in a variety of school systems, all of which have given me great perspectives in the field of education. I love teaching reading and Alabama history and absolutely love the integration of the two subjects. As a literacy teacher here at Paine Elementary, I find great joy in working with students to further their understanding of the content presented in these areas, and most importantly, to nurture their love of reading.
