Very important note: Husky Parkway will close to through traffic at the stadium location at 6:30 pm so that the graduates can walk from the covered field to the stadium. Husky Parkway will remain closed until the ceremony ends. Guests arriving after 6:30 pm should plan accordingly. Stadium/Civic Center parking will probably be full by 6:30 pm so entering Husky Parkway from Deerfoot Parkway and parking at the high school is recommended after 6:30 pm.
Tickets & Graduation Practice

How many tickets will our family receive to attend graduation?
Twelve graduation tickets will be issued per family. Five of the twelve tickets will be color coded/marked as "rain tickets". In the event of poor weather, the ceremony will be moved to Bryant Bank Arena (large gym) and each family will have five "rain tickets".

How will tickets be distributed to students?
Tickets will be distributed at graduation practice on Monday, May 20th. Graduation practice will take place at 6:00 pm at the stadium on Monday, May 20th. Attendance is required.

If a friend or family member will not be attending, will there be other options for them to view the ceremony?
The graduation ceremonies will be live-streamed by Trussville Tribune at https://www.trussvilletribune.com/trib-tv/ and Trussville Tribune's Facebook page. There cermony will also be live-streamed at the Trussville Gateway District on the large screen.

If my family isn't going to use all twelve tickets, may we given them to someone else?
Yes.

Will there be a graduation practice?
Yes! Graduates should gather at the stadium complex at the new covered practice field by 6:00 pm on Monday, May 20th.
Practice will be under an hour and graduates will receive their graduation tickets and a popsicle at the end of practice.
Attending graduation practice is required. All graduates should arrange work and personal schedules so that they can attend.

Is there a graduation/stadium diagram?

What time will the stadium gates open for attendees?
The stadium gates will open at 6:00 pm for the 7:00 pm graduation ceremony. Everyone will be required to present their ticket upon entry. There will be no "will call" booth available. Ticket takers will not be able to hold tickets for friends/family members arriving at a later time.

Where should we park?
Graduation Parking
We highly recommend that graduates be dropped off at the new pavilion located across Husky Parkway from the stadium. Field house parking is reserved for TCS employees and guests with a visible handicap placard. Graduate and guest parking will be at the stadium, Trussville Civic Center and the large high school lots. There will be a shuttle bus from the high school to the stadium.

Will there be wheelchair access and handicap seating?
Yes, wheelchair access and handicap seating are available. Either entrance, home or visitor, may be used. Guests must provide their own wheelchairs and assistance. Stadium ushers will be present to guide handicapped guests to reserved handicap seating which will be the bottom row on both sides of the stadium.

Will family members be allowed to enter the field area after the ceremony?
Yes. After the ceremony, families can join their graduates on the field for photographs.

In case of poor weather, what is the plan?
If poor weather dictates a move indoors, the ceremony will be held in the Bryant Bank Arena (large gym). Note that each graduate will have only 5 (not 12) "rain" tickets in the event of an indoor ceremony. Other family members and friends will be able to watch the live stream provided by The Trussville Tribune.
Diplomas, Programs, Photographer, Graduate Dress Code

How will my son or daughter receive the actual diploma since it is just the diploma cover given during the ceremony?
Following the graduation ceremony, students will proceed to the Husky Parkway end zone where staff members will distribute each student's actual diploma.

If we choose not to attend, how will my son or daughter receive his or her diploma?
Graduates can come to the HTHS counseling office beginning the day after graduation. The phone number is 228-4026.

Will programs be available at the ceremony? If we do not attend the cermony, will we be able to get a copy of the program?
Programs will be provided at the ceremony. Also, each graduate will be given a keepsake program that will be a part of their diploma packet.

Will a photographer take photos of my senior on the stage?
The Belmont Studios photographer will be taking photos of your senior on the stage.

Is there a dress code for graduates?
Yes.
There is a required graduate dress code for graduation. This is a formal event so adherence to the dress code is expected.
Boys: Dark or khaki pants (no jeans) and a white dress shirt with a tie. Appropriate shoes and socks. No flip-flops or tennis shoes please.
Girls: Dress with a hemline that won’t show under the gown. No flip flops. Neutral colored shoes only. Dark pants with white shirt if not wearing a dress.
All students: No decorations on the tops of hats. Nothing worn on the outside of the graduation gown i.e. around the neck other than school approved stoles and cords.
