Mrs. Rachelle Taylor
Welcome to third grade!
I am very excited and honored to have the opportunity to teach your child. This is my fifth year teaching at Paine Elementary, so I am familiar with the curriculum, growth/development, and 21st century learning of students this age. I teach math and science. My teammate teaches Reading, History, and Writing.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, 2011 and a Master's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, 2015. I have over ten wonderful and rewarding years specializing and serving in the field of education, yet I am a life-long learner to enhance my teaching and student learning. I am not the only teacher in my classroom, as I develop a teaching and learning community where we teach and learn from one another.
I am married to the most precious man and Trussville native, Thomas. We currently have two beautiful pups, Bella and Baylee. Until we are blessed to have children of our own, yours will serve as the ones I love, care, and advocate for! I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and pups; cooking, reading, singing, anything active outdoors, traveling, outreach with our church, and watching Husky/Alabama football.
I pride myself in taking your children under my wing as if they are my own to ensure they are loved, safe, and successful in their growth and development and 21st century learning. I am passionate about my students, families, and Paine Elementary. I welcome you to the new school year. I look forward to developing lasting relationships with you and your children. GO HUSKIES!
