Mrs. Jessica Johnston

5th Grade

Math and Science Teacher

Hello Students and Families!
My name is Jessica Johnston (formerly Ms. Crocker!) and I will be teaching fifth grade math and science. My team teacher is Mrs. Mills, who will be teaching literacy, social studies, and writing. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Samford University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Elementary Collaborative Education. I have experience working with infants through sixth graders. This will be my third year teaching and my third year at Cahaba!
I am originally from Georgia and have lived in five other states as well. I graduated from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama and did most of my student teaching here at CES in the same room where I am now teaching! I just got married over the summer and my husband's name is Hunter. When I visit home, I love being able to see my family and two black Lab puppies. I also enjoy reading, doing crafts and puzzles, and watching Georgia football games. Go Dawgs!!
5th grade was my favorite year when I was in school, and I am looking forward to coming full circle as a fifth grade teacher myself! We are going to have a great year!
