Degrees and Certifications:
I was raised in Carmel Indiana which is just north of Indianapolis. After high school I attended Purdue University and received my BS in applied mathematics. While my children were young I worked as a statistician for the Indiana University Oral Health Research Institute. As I worked alongside scientists from a variety of fields, I gained a greater appreciation for the power mathematics has to transform lives when integrated into multi-disciplinary research. I received my Masters Degree in Secondary Education from UAB. After my children all entered school I began teaching. I have taught in a variety of settings but am happy to call Trussville home. Hewitt Trussville High School is a wonderful place to teach and learn. I have a soft spot for students with learning differences and believe that all students can learn mathematics at the highest levels.
