(MES) - Leafing through poetry takes on a whole new meaning at Magnolia. In recognition of National Poetry Month, students participated in a collaborative poetry writing opportunity: a Poetry Tree. First-grade teacher Tiffany Reed's stunning Poetry Tree silhouette and fifth-grade teacher Mary Catherine Galloway's hand-calligraphed leaves set the stage to let students' creativity truly shine. Students in all grade levels and staff members enjoy stopping by the Poetry Tree to read and discuss original poems - and write on the colorful leaves. A love and appreciation of writing and verse is celebrated as the Poetry Tree spreads its vibrant branches across the walls.
