  • HTHS SENIOR EXEPMPTION POLICY 

    1. Any senior earning an “A” average in a class for the second semester is eligible to exempt the exam for that class, providing there are no more than three absences (excused and/or unexcused) during the spring semester. Attendance will be monitored by the classroom teacher. Three tardies in one class will equate to one absence.
    2. Any senior earning a “B” average in a class for the second semester is eligible to exempt the exam for that class, providing there are no more than two absences (excused and/or unexcused) during the spring semester. Attendance will be monitored by the classroom teacher. Three tardies in one class will equate to one absence.
    3. Any senior earning a “C” average in a class for the second semester is eligible to exempt the exam for that class, providing there is no more than one absence (excused and/or unexcused) during the spring semester. Attendance will be monitored by the classroom teacher. Three tardies in one class will equate to one absence.
    4. All Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment students must follow the AP/DE guidelines and/or teacher direction.
    5. A senior may have two college day absences/visits for the year. Written permission must be received from Mr. Salem at least one day prior to the college visit. College visits do not count toward the absences for exemption. No senior may take an approved college visit after May 11.
    6. Senior participants involved in school-sponsored activities (debate, athletic competitions, choir/band trips, field trips, etc.) will not have these absences counted toward exam exemption.
    7. A senior with an outstanding fine (library, parking, lunchroom, organization, etc.) will not be eligible to exempt their second semester exams.
    8. A senior with a Class II or above offense during the second semester will not be eligible for exam exemption.
    9. A senior who does not earn exam exemption and does not report for a semester exam at the scheduled time will receive an incomplete grade and could be ineligible for graduation participation.

  • Attention AP Parents and Students

    AP Exam fees are due October 1, 2019. Each exam fee is $94.00.  An additional $40 per exam must be applied if students choose to pay after the October 1st deadline.

    Juniors and Seniors who did not complete the parking registration at the time their student registration was completed can click on the following parking application link to complete the parking application, Parking Application.

    Sophomore parking registration will open after September 1st.  Note that it may take up to two work days for registration verification and approval prior to a student being able to pay for and obtain a parking pass.

  • Senior Transcripts for College Applications

    To request a transcript to be sent for a college application, visit Hewitt-Trussville High School's Parchment webpage and follow the instructions to create a Parchment account.  Select the schools you want your transcript sent to and your transcript will be sent electronically.
