Dr. Maggie Jensen joined Paine Elementary’s administrative team in the summer of 2022.  A native of Trussville, Dr. Jensen has vast experience in K12 across various educational settings in metro Birmingham.  Before joining Trussville City Schools, Dr. Jensen worked for Vestavia Hills City Schools in various capacities, including English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, Reading Interventionist, and attendance administrator.  She has also been an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she taught aspiring ESL teachers.  Dr. Jensen also spent time in Hoover City Schools (2005-2007) as an ESL teacher, where she helped implement an engaging and challenging curriculum in collaboration with classroom teachers.  Dr. Jensen holds a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Ph.D. from the University of Alabama.  She is certified in ESL grades PreK-12 and holds an Instructional Leadership Certification.
