P.A.C.E.
P.A.C.E. (Positive Attitudes Change Everything) is a comprehensive framework designed to empower all students in our community with knowledge, skills, and inspiration to develop and practice positive character and healthy habits. P.A.C.E. is the lens through which every aspect of the school and community becomes an opportunity for character development.
What are the benefits of P.A.C.E.?
- Promotes character development through the exploration of universal virtues across the curriculum.
- Develops a positive and moral climate through the participation of students, teachers and staff, parents, and community.
- Teaches how to solve conflicts fairly, creating safer schools that are more conducive to learning.
Why is character education important?
Character education is the deliberate effort to nurture the universal attributes that schools and communities share. These attributes provide us with common expectations for behavior against which we hold ourselves accountable. They form the basis of our relationships and responsible citizenship.
Our goal for students is to be not only college and career ready, but also ready for the tests of life, and not a life of tests.
Character is a dimension of life that helps us persevere during challenges, treat others with dignity, and advance our community. Therefore, excellence in education includes character development.
